The other day Kelly received an invitation to a wedding. It was from a great young lady which used to be one of Kelly’s students. The invitation was really neat because it was printed on a refrigerator magnet. So every time we pass by we are reminded to keep that day open so we can attend.

The point I would like to make here, is the importance of inviting people to church. This is the key not only to church growth but getting the Gospel to someone who would have never have heard it before. Sunday School is still the most effective way to reach people. The reason why is simple. Sunday School is about establishing and building relationships.

But we have to realize that most people attend and join a Sunday School class because they have been invited. Research has proven this time and time again.

Our job is to make an effort to reach those who are unchurched. A simple phone call, card, or when you run into someone is all that is required. Also, don’t forget to invite people you don’t know very well. You never know if God has been dealing with them, and your invitation could possibly change their life.

Romans 10:17 says "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
